Notice of Position Opening
Executive Director
Inter-Faith Ministries

Inter-Faith Ministries is seeking to fill the position of Executive Director. The position will direct the organization’s staff and volunteers in order to fulfill this mission. We are a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization with the majority of our operations and programs impacting Wichita, KS, and the surrounding area.

IFM serves our community by providing emergency shelter, temporary and transitional housing to the homeless along with case management to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. Benefits include group health insurance, vacation, and sick leave.

The successful candidate will oversee a staff of 30 permanent staff, full-time and part-time, hundreds of volunteers, and a budget of approximately $1.4 million.


Establishes and evaluates agency-wide operations and ensures their effectiveness by developing, implementing and reviewing programs, policies and procedures to fulfill the mission and vision of Inter Faith Ministries.
Executes sound fiscal management, understand financials, develops budgets and operates all programs within budget guidelines.
Develops, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive funding plan to support agency programs and manages government contracts and grants.
Oversees organization’s employees; is responsible for recruiting, hiring, developing, and supervising staff.
Provides vision and plans strategy consistent with the agency’s mission, values, and resources in collaboration with the staff and Board of Directors.
Develops and maintains a positive relationship with funders, donors, policymakers, colleagues, and others who have an impact on the life of the organization.
Upholds the organization’s public reputation and represents Inter-Faith Ministries to a variety of stakeholders including donors, faith representatives, community and civic organizations.

Position requirements:

The successful candidate will possess proven fundraising capability, management experience in business or public administration, non-profit, health/human services, or a related field. In addition, the successful candidate will be an inspirational leader with a passion for the organization’s mission, a strategic thinker who leads and manages change effectively, and an individual who is committed to cultural inclusion and community collaboration.
